GermanyBio
Johann Nagel Heyer is a rising tennis star from Hamburg, Germany. At just 14 years old, he is already making a name for himself on the junior circuit. A right-handed player, Johann's favorite surface is hardcourt, where his signature inside-out forehand stands out. Inspired by tennis legend Roger Federer, Johann began playing tennis at the age of five, following in the footsteps of his parents and brother.
Johann's career is marked by significant achievements, including winning the German Championships in both the U14 and U13 categories, as well as securing victory in a Category 1 Tournament on the Tennis Europe U14 tour. He also finished as a runner-up in a Super Category U14 tournament and reached the No. 1 ranking on the Tennis Europe U14 circuit. Among his notable victories are wins over several top 10 players in the Tennis Europe U14 rankings.
Renowned for his strong work ethic, Johann is dedicated to his training and still has considerable physical growth ahead, given his young age. His commitment to the sport led him to switch schools to a sports-focused institution, allowing him more flexibility to balance academics with tennis. On the court, Johann is recognized as a strategic and tactical player, traits that have been key to his success.
Looking forward, Johann aims to establish himself on the ITF Junior Tour in the coming year.
