Bio
- Youngest winner of the Girls’ 18s USTA Florida title at 13.
- Began tennis at age 3 in Tokyo.
- Played at Stanford before turning pro in 2024.
- Aims to enter Grand Slams and win the US Open.
Alexis Blokhina is a prodigy from the United States. Alexis’ tennis journey began when she was just 3 years old in Roppongi, Tokyo, where her parents enrolled her in a kids’ program at the US Embassy. Her talent was evident from the start, as her coach recognized her exceptional hand-eye coordination. From that moment on, Alexis dedicated herself to tennis, eventually rising to the highest levels of junior and professional competition.
Her career achievements include winning the Indian Wells Junior Championship and clinching gold medals in singles and doubles at the Maccabiah Games. At only 13 years old, Alexis became the youngest player to win the Girls’ 18s USTA Florida “Bobby Curtis” Junior State Singles Championship. She has competed in all four Junior Grand Slam tournaments, reaching the quarterfinals in doubles at the Junior Australian Open and the semifinals in doubles at the Junior US Open. Recently, Alexis claimed the doubles title at the W60 Lexington Challenger, solidifying her position as a rising force on the professional tour.
She plays left-handed with a strong all-court game and a favorite weapon—her backhand cross. Inspired by Angelique Kerber, Alexis has honed her skills to become a smart and versatile player with a particular love for competing on hard courts.
She started Stanford University in the fall of 2022. After two years in college, Alexis decided to turn pro. With a career-high ITF Junior Ranking of #25 and a WTA Ranking of #566, Alexis combines her junior achievements with her college tennis experience from Stanford University.
Looking ahead, Alexis’s goals include playing in Grand Slams by next year and breaking into the WTA Top 100 rankings. Ultimately, her dream is to win the US Open, a lifelong goal she is determined to achieve.
